CLOSING CEREMONIES

A deeply nurturing and restorative ritual to honour your journey into motherhood.

Inspired by traditional postpartum practices such as Closing the Bones, this bespoke ceremony offers space to pause, reflect and be cared for—whether you are newly postpartum or many years into motherhood.

There is no timeline for needing closure, integration, or recognition after birth. This ceremony is available at any stage after having a baby, whether weeks, months, or years later.

During our time together, we begin by creating a small altar to honour you, your experience and the woman or mother you have become. There is space to gently talk through your birth story, your postpartum experience, or simply reflect on this chapter of your life.

You will then be tenderly held through a series of nurturing practices including gentle rocking, wrapping and massage—offering both a physical and symbolic sense of closing, grounding and coming home to yourself.

This ceremony can also be adapted sensitively for those processing baby loss, offering a gentle and held space to honour your experience.

Closing Ceremonies take place in the comfort of your own home, with all equipment provided. Herbal tea and a delicious treat are included. Please allow approximately 2 hours for the ceremony.

Please note that as this is an uninterrupted treatment, baby will need to be cared for by someone else during the session or for as much of it as possible - we will of course be flexible! You may also wish to keep the rest of your day free afterwards to rest, journal, or sleep.
