Birth Pool Hire

Water can provide incredible comfort, relaxation and support during labour and many families find
that creating a calm birth space at home helps them feel more grounded and confident during birth.

If you are planning a home birth and would like to hire a birthing pool, I offer a simple birth pool hire service to help you create a calm and comfortable birth environment at home.

My hire package includes everything you need for your water birth, with the pool available for 6 weeks for £135.

What’s Included

Your hire package includes:

• La Bassine Maxi birth pool
• Submersible water pump
• Electric inflator pump
• Universal tap connector (please check compatibility with your taps in good time before your due date)
• 10m food-grade hose
• Birth pool liner (must always be used)
• Floating birth pool thermometer
• Debris/draining net

Optional extras:

• Deluxe floor sheet – £15
• Waterproof mat – £7

Hire Period

The standard hire period is 6 weeks. Any ‘unused’ weeks within this period are non-refundable.

A £65 deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is deducted from the overall hire cost when you collect or receive the pool.

If you would like to keep the pool for longer, additional weeks can usually be arranged, subject to availability.

All equipment arrives in a sturdy box, which should be kept and used to return all returnable items after your hire period ends.

When Should I Book?

Birth pools can become booked up quickly, particularly during busier months, so I recommend reserving your pool before 34 weeks where possible.

If you are later in pregnancy, please still get in touch — I will always do my best to accommodate you.

Your pool will usually be available for collection from around 36 weeks, giving you time to familiarise yourself with everything before labour begins.

If you are unable to collect the pool, I can deliver it within a 25-mile radius of Petworth. Delivery is charged at £35 per hour for the time it takes me to complete the round trip.
